Sports provision is not just about ensuring children sustain a healthy weight but also for supporting emotional and physical health, for its own sake and for the positive benefits it has on the ability of children to learn effectively.

The school understands and values the importance of physical activity and sport. The children are encouraged to undertake a range of sports and activities both within the Physical Education (PE) curriculum, at playtimes and also in extra-curricular activities.

We are a member of the Lutterworth Area School Sports. As members our children take part in competitions with other schools in our area and across Leicestershire.

We hold many trophies in our school cabinet for team games.  Every year our children partake in the Saffron Lane Area sports competition with our champions moving through to the finals held in Rockingham Triangle in Corby.

Swimming is an important part of our school sports provision and all our children attend swimming lessons from Reception – Year 6.  Junior children who are confident swimmers earn their life savers awards.
